Yes, but I'm sure you have some memorable vestry meetings to remember
out of your years of service.
 
I certainly do.
 
Back in the early 1970's when the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral  asked
for "any new business", I casually suggested that it was time for the
entire Cathedral complex to go smoke free.
 
The Dean and the parish secretary nearly swallowed their cigarettes,  and
began uncontrollable coughing.  
 
The matter was "tabled for further study".
 
A year later, the insurance carrier for the Cathedral complex made it
mandatory (without paying a huge premium) for the buildings to
go non-smoking.
