Icons can be just amazing!
We traveled on the Volga from Sanktpetersburg to Moscow, and stopped at
several villages and cities along the way. Every place was different, but
the churches were always marvelous. Whether the stately ones near the
Moscow Kreml or in one of the modest villages, they always had icons well
worth stopping to sit and just drink it all in.
