[Magdalen] How do you buy a stove?

oh Jay... I could write about this for hours : ) not really but....

Yes, most people I know with stainless (ironic, yes?) have fingerprint 
problems that keep it from looking neat.

I did have a stainless electric cook top in my counter at my former 
residence (the surface around burners was stainless not enamel) and it was 
great, especially for cleanups.

and granite counters.... I inherited them with my condo... black/tan/pinkish 
(not a color I would have picked but it hides the dirt so well that 
unless/until you feel the counter, you would have no idea how incredibly 
dirty it might be (especially remote, less used areas)....

Sigh... task for next year is repainting my kitchen cupboards (which the 
owner painted over oak, to sell the house - white was 'in' :(  and stripping 
them all is not on my to-do list... AND my friend Jim is going to help me 
tile the floor (currently have 'fake' wood laminate throughout most of the 
first floor, including in the kitchen where it just does not cut it for me).
