Dawn is a life member of the AIM. http://aimovement.org

If you get to see the film "The Cherokee Word For Water", it's wonderful.
It's about Wilma Mankiller, the first woman Principal Chief of the Cherokee
Nation in OK. Dawn knew Chief Wilma, and we got to see the film pre-release
in KC, which has a large urban Native American population. I got to meet
Charlie Soap (Wilma's husband) and Dawen and I spent some time talking with
Mo Brings Plenty, a Lakota friend of ours.

Now, Natives are encouraged to use their Tribe name to identify, rather
than Native American.

Grace and peace,
brud
honorary Cherokee
