There are certain people with opinions it is considered SOP to hate. Dawkins 
seems to be the current bête noir of the overly pious. A generation ago it was 
Bishop John Shelby +Spong.

Some people's personal faith demands a straw man . . .

Those of more mature faith don’t get riled up and just go about the task of 
working their own faith out in how they live.
