[Magdalen] Exorcism

Being an ordained exorcist AND a virtual atheist, I was interested to see this topic come up. Having taken part in, but of course never performed, exorcisms (and the minor version amongst some indies, "cleansings"), my perspective is pretty black and white: if you believe the Devil is real and has demons working for him, exorcism is for you; if not, then not. Just like with the positive side of any genuine religion, it's ultimately a matter of how it all makes you feel and how that feeling directs you to view life in general.

Having a particularly traditional Catholic training in this regard, I have to say that one of the few things I really give Rome credit for is that, exorcist or not, if you don't have a bishop's authorization to perform exorcisms, you're just like me, with a mere Minor Order under your clerical belt, and that's it.
