[Magdalen] Chicken pox

Well, it's happened, as I have feared. My son has refused to have any of his kids vaccinated for anything, and the 13 yo is in the fourth day of chicken pox, which means there are at least four and possibly five kids to go.
Their adopted son and two little foster boys have all been vaccinated, thanks to Social Services.
I'm trying not to be too angry, because it's really not my business, but I'm not being too successful. I do think, however, that I'm going to suggest to my married granddaughter that, if she escapes this time, it would be a good idea to get vaccinated.
When I had shingles a few years ago, I stayed away from the kids so they wouldn't get chicken pox. I told my son why I wasn't coming to bring something I had for them. He said I should have come, because it would have been good for them to have chicken pox while they were young. (And, of course, before the vaccine, that was what we all thought, and chicken pox tended to sweep through nursery schools every spring.)
But I explained about the possibility of shingles in later life and the fact that I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Didn't have any effect, though...
Sorry, end of what I guess is a rant.
