In a message dated 2/1/2015 10:59:15 A.M. Eastern Standard Time,
oppenheimerjw at gmail.com writes:

He just got some candles and tried
to use them on the altar, and Fr. Cummins (or his shade)>>>>>

The Reformed Episcopal Church, which has roots in the +Cummins
Affair, still doesn't use candles and crosses at the altar, and the
celebration of Holy Communion is at the "north" end of the altar.
Vestments are limited to black cassocks. At least that's the way it
is for the two REC congregations in this region.

But you haven't really matured liturgically until you've witnessed
a literal hair-pulling episode between RC priests of the Ordinary Form
and those of the Extraordinary (Latin) Form.

Picture the Latin Form priests moving the free-standing altar
to the side in order for them to best utilize the old high altar in a
church,
and the Ordinary Form priests standing firmly in their way, and all
accompanied by much animated shouting. This sets the stage.

David Strang.
