Fresh out of residency at UM-Minneapolis, my family found themselves
experiencing our first European (German) spring. When Wiseman+ worked in
a sermon that there would soon be daffodils blooming (this in mid-February)
 we
looked at each other thinking the man had gone daft.

He was correct, however, because by February 20th, there were the
daffodils.

In the Upper Midwest, there really is no spring. It goes from cold and
uncertain winter to summer in a couple of days and thus sweeping
all the spring flowering plants to complete their thing in just a couple
of days.

Pennsylvania OTOH, really has a long, gradual spring, and it is my
favorite season here.
