Ministry and priesthood are only tangentially related, of course.

I have known many many priests who functioned without a
whiff of ministry, nor did they make pretense about it.

Frankly, most of the functional ministers of the Gospel I've
known and loved were not and never would be priests.

Priests may be ordained, deposed, resigned, rehabbed,
disgraced, fired, but ministry lives outside that system.
