[Magdalen] Westminster.

We had a wonderful little beagle, Lady. When my son was about 2 and Lady was
18 months she escaped from my husband's care and 'tracked me down' about a
mile into my daily walk. On the way home, leash-less, she ran in front of
a car to chase a squirrel - it happened in a nanosecond. When we took her
to the vet for x-rays, it turned out she already had debilitating arthritis
(which we has seen hints of, but were clueless), often a result of
inbreeding and sadly she was 'papered', but worse her pelvis was too
fractured to operate... a sadness all the way around. She was a headstrong
and fun pup. Nose to the ground she tracked down critters in our yard and
was great with my two (at the time) kids.
