Given the time zone difference there is only one place I intend to be when this all kicks off, not that I would be that interested in it if it were at a more civilised hour this side of the pond.  Films are basically /terra incognito/ to me.

I've about had it with advertising emails asking me if I'm "ready" for
the Oscars tonight. I've no more need to be "ready" for that than for
the Super Bowl, that other overblown event that takes place on the
night I'm least likely to want to stay up late and imbibe, which is
what's expected. Sunday night? Come on.

One more way I'm off the rails when it comes to contemporary society,
I guess. Not that this matters a whit!
