[Magdalen] Life's challenges

I'm sorry, Marion, I misunderstood your time frame. I thought you were emptying it out and moving somewhere temporarily until the house sells--didn't realize you'd still be living there. That does make it harder, IMO.

The house goes on the market on MAY 8TH! The agent, my neighbour who
was the listing agent 23 yrs ago when we bought this place, leaves me in
no doubt about what needs to happen. Empty, empty! the upstairs room
completely, including taking up the tacky broadloom we inherited. Many
of the hung pictures, stuff off the fridge door (I knew that), all the
other things that sit on counters and flat surfaces made to disappear,
however I achieve that. Fine if you know it will sell in a few days or
weeks, but what if it doesn't? How can I live in such a sterile
cell???? I'll go mad.

At these times, angry feelings wash over me about the inequity of it
all. Jim buggered off and I am left with all this to deal with, having
to totally unravel MY life because of his own selfish wish to live on
his own. I don't allow myself to go there very often, but some time one
day I wlll cry for a month, maybe longer, about LIFE, my life over all
the years. Grrrrr!

Marion, a pilgrim ... today my sail I lift ....

I don't know what your time frame , is, but I think the concept is a good one. I'm not faced with a move, but with an overwhelming amount of clutter, and I'm finding this idea of one bag (or giveaway box or whatever) a day helpful. Mind you, I've gotten a bit behind, but still... ( and that's where a buddy can be helpful.)
