Yes. All radio & TV station call letters are assigned by country: The US
gets K and W; Canada gets CK and (some others which start with C). CNBC
doesn't count as it's not an on-the-air TV station. Britain gets G, etc..

Do all Canadian television and radio station's call letters
begin with "C"?

In the USA, of course, all stations east of the Mississippi begin
with "W", and those west begin with "K".

Minneapolis is the only city that straddles the Mississippi, and
thus has stations with "W" and with "K". St. Paul sits on the
east bank, and thus has stations with "K" only.

David Strang - remembering Minnehaha Creek that meanders
through the south of Minneapolis, and enters the Mississippi via
the lovely Minnehaha Falls. This gives rise to the taunt: "Minne
for Minneapolis and ha-ha for Saint Paul".
