Snark or not (I'm wondering if she's bipolar actually but will never
know), when I retired early I paid between $600 and $700 a month
for COBRA coverage. Was really really happy when I turned 65,
that's for sure.
For its retirees, MGH/Harvard Medical School offers Medicare Part B
at around $350 per month. Went with Tufts Medicare Preferred
instead and it's free. Free. $25 per doctor visit (annual physical,
mammogram, even colonoscopy is free) $40 copay for a specialist visit.
Hospice care is free. When I presented my Tufts card, my latest
eyeglasses went from $650 to $329.99.
Yay Tufts!
