I will eat lamb any time, anywhere, cooked just about any old how. Yum!
When I worked in Alexandria, I was introduced to goat, which tastes a
little like lamb (maybe more like mutton). I'm pretty fond of goat curry.
The crowd I worked with in Alexandria was so international it was amazing.
It's the only place you would ever be likely to hear a white American say
something like , "When J___ fixes goat I never eat it, but when M___ does,
I always do, hers is just so good." I counted one day and to the best of my
calculation, we had staff from at least 14 different countries. You can
sort of imagine what it was like when people brought food to share.
