I also NEVER watched "Friends" during its regular seasons.  In  fact
I avoided it like the plague.  Then, somehow during syndication,  I
became hooked, and I think I've seen every episode a number of
times through the years.
 
Ditto with "Seinfeld," which I consider the best sit-com ever.
