Of course, the definitive history of TEC is the one by Robert Prichard of VTS, which is now in its 3rd edition. I think it's just called A History of the Episcopal Church: From Colonial Times to the Present. That may not be exact, but you'll find it under his name.

I do think these are both "Must Reads" for Episcopalians..
As for Mason Martins, well, he had a very opinionated view which, I think
tainted his historical descriptions..
