How lovely! Blessings upon them both, and more years to them!

It has always seemed rather a shame to me that clergy wives are not honored
in most Protestant churches the way they are in Judaism, where she is the
"rebbitzin" in Ashkenazic congregations (orthodox, anyway), or in Orthodox
churches--the Russian orthodox call the priest's wife "Matushka". Of course
many African-American churches do refer to their pastor's wife as "First
Lady" and she is given a position of honor, but in many other Protestant
congregations, the wife doesn't have a title, she's just expected to be
above reproach and do practically everything in the church. Oh, and keep
her mouth shut.
