Door narrowers are closely related Stair Risers -- those are the elves who make 
risers higher and higher on stairways as one gets older and older.

(they did this to the antique trolley we rode to the ballgame Sunday-- it wasn't 
nearly as high when I rode it at Penn's Landing in 1980, and even then, the step 
was higher than it had been when I rode this car to Media Pa in 1962)
