It's easy when you're retired - one day is much like another. Yesterday I
kept thinking today was Friday (Farmer's Market day), but no, today is
Thursday.

Subject: [Magdalen] Getting Old?
I have a luncheon today with some old friends (railfans) that I;ve known for
more than 50 years. We're meeting at a brewpub in Woodbridge NJ. Then I have
treatment at MSK tomorrow, along with a CT Scan to check on the progress. In
anticipation of that I made a reservation at a hotel (in Harrison NJ) for
tonight.
But I simply had no idea what day it was yesterday, so we packed up and took
the
7:20 AM bus from Scranton for NY. Well into the Poconos, I realized (reading
the
NY Times) that it was Wednesday -- I even thought for a few minutes that I
had
the previous day's paper. But I soon realized we had left a day early -- so
it
was a last-minute scramble to get a room for last night -- got the last room
at
the same hotel where we were scheduled tonight.
The penalty? The room tonight was $126 -- but getting the last room was $189
yesterday, and that's an AARP rate.
In any case, we spent the "extra" day at the Museum of Natural History --
including programs at the Rose Planetarium (formerly Hayden). Albert really
enjoyed himself so it turned out okay.
But I'm still wondering how I couldn’t figure out what day its was, even
though
Tuesday was grocery delivery day *senior citizen discount day). So how did I
lose Wednesday?
Cheers,
Jim
