Well, not in the United States, save fore the fairly substantial numbers of
immigrant (documented and undocumented) from Latin America. Without that influx,
they're be falling into the same tank and Mainline Protestants.

They had finally found a way to overcome the strong anti-RC views (Remember when
most evangelicals preached the notion of the Pope would soon be revealed as the
Anti-Christ?) by making common ground with them on political and social issues.
Pope Francis is burying that relationship quickly. If you're interested in the
details of how desperate some of the Bishops have become (as well as the
conservative lay leadership people), double your meds and tune into EWTN.
