 From the other side of the pond I recall waiting for that same 
satellite to be in line of sight with Goonhilly Downs so that live TV 
pctures from America could be broadcast in the UK.  Now we take it as 
normal that a reporter in the field anywhere in the world can feed into 
a live newscast.
