Don’t know if they still do it, but St Mark's Philadelphia had a Peace that 
extended to 10-15 minutes.

And it permitted lots of older people to continue to worship on Sunday Morning 
because it allowed enough time to duck out the men's or ladies room.

There are good pastoral reasons for an "extended peace" in some cases, I think.
