I myself prefer kites, as Australian owls are small and definitely
nocturnal, as well as not common in built-up areas. This black kite is
very common in our area, and can often be seen in large groups (?
flocks) They patrol up and down our road regularly, making lazy
circles over grassy areas looking for hares or native rats. Just
thankful we are past the keeping of kittens,.....
