[Magdalen] travel mercies and other news/

Leaving tomorrow AM en route to Double Springs, AL - well near there at any
rate.
Drive to Tupelo tomorrow, then to a small country church outside carbon
Hill for a Sacred Harp Singing, then on to Camp McDowell (in between Double
Springs and Jasper). It's the Episcopal camp. This next will it will host
the adult session of Camp Fasola, a shape note camp. I'll be on staff

is at the link). Late Wed, on to Birmingham and then the National Sacred
Harp convention for 3 days, then two days home.

In other news, youngest son, who had been out of work for 3 years, got
employed though a staffing agency last January. It was a 6 month contract,
with possible/probable renewal.
A new manager came in last month and imposed a hiring freeze. which he
interpreted as also applying to the contract workers, so out of work again.

The good news - he's had 4 interviews in the last 2 weeks, including a
hopeful looking one today.
