In far southern Indiana it gets very hilly, with the Interstate cut through heights of sandstone. No wonder the area was chosen by Swiss monks to establish Saint Meinrad Archabbey on a rural hilltop. It isn't the Alps by a long shot but also isn't typically flat Indiana.
