[Magdalen] Easter Egg Hunts BEFORE Easter

When did so many places (including churches) start having Easter egg hunts
BEFORE Easter?  (Even Western Easter not Pascha!)

I just noticed that our local community center (which used to be the parish
hall of St Andrew's on-the-Mount) is having a Spring Fling on March 29th
including an Easter egg hunt.

I Googled this and found it happens very often.  I suppose this is similar
to what happens during December with Christmas parties and such.
