On the subject of church vestments, I came upon this view of
the high altar at Saint Mark's during an apparent Requiem Mass.
Note the unbleached candles.

The Comper vestments from 1904.  I believe these are English,  but
I don't know the history.  They are certainly among the most  spectacular
of the medieval gothic style.

David Strang, who wishes Saint Mark's were closer.  I think this might  be
a parish I would like.  They also have a change-ring set of  bells.
