I have to say, I bet I've heard five thousand sermons and homilies
in my life. most were good, a few were spectacular, a few were
dreadful. But very few sermons spoke to me with as much drama
and force as those velcro tabs.

They're right when they say you can never know in advance what
effect your words (or other expressions) will have on a congregation.
