[Magdalen] The Fifth Gospel

The gf went to a reading in Cambridge (Porter Square Books). She
said the author, Ian Caldwell, is smart and funny and she's looking
forward to reading the book. Given the fact that she has negative
interest in anything about the church (except for the Borgias),
I was impressed with her enthusiasm.

He told the assembled how hard he had to work, how much
he had to write, in John McPhee's class. She was hanging on
every word and disappointed when he was interrupted  by a
request to read from his book.
