[Magdalen] Tenebrae

The best one I ever attended was when I was in seminary at Trinity.
Trinity is built of stone and has lofty windows and ceiling soaring
over a large choir/sancuary space. Our organ scholar, Chris Ku, stood
alone, illuminated by a single candle, and chanted the lamentations.
High behind us the most excellent choir chanted the psalms, especially
Psalm 51, Miserere mei. The increasing darkness, the bang.
Unforgettable. I personally love mystery and atmosphere and pure
singing, intimations of O magnum mysterium.
