The Pennsylvania Railroad ran an express train from New York to Atlantic City 
named the "Nellie Bly." Some joked that the routing -- via Trenton and 
Bordentown then almost to Camden almost duplicated her round-the-world trip, 
especially compared to the more direct route of the Central RRof NJ's "Blue 
Comet."

One wonders haw many people taking the Nellie Bly train in the late 50s and 
early 1960s even knew who Nellie Bly was?
