Interesting that they would take such a low-key approach to hives.
 
In any case, it's critical that control of hives be achieved quickly,  and
often several types of antihistamines and oral steroids are utilized
to achieve this.
 
If hives persist into the subacute phase (after about six weeks), the
chances of (1) chronic urticaria and (2) Finding a cause are
increasingly remote.
