Oh, my! I have a couple of FaceBook friends who are into dressage, and I
was bemoaning my own lack of sophistication about "fancy" horses,
mentioning that my main knowledge in that area came from books, starting
with Walter Farley (racing) when I learned to read, and one of the
others mentioned that she also started with him, and occasionally reread
something of his. Another said something in the same vein. I'm only
sad that I already have too many books for my shelves, including all the
Walter Farley, Will James' "Smokey", etc. Maybe my kids will have to
bury them with me, or be haunted. For all the books, though, it would
take a mighty large grave! ;^)
