I see your problem.  I posted a link to an article and then someone
helpfully (dripping irony intentional) posted a reply in which they deleted
my link and put up an irrelevant url of theirs

I can see why you got a garbage site.

The link I was pointing to was a snopes site, saying the urban legend about
the crucified Santa has not been substantiated.  This is the link:

This kind of thing happens when people try to respond and don't really
think about it when they slash a huge amount of text away.

If one does attempt to edit, it is a very good idea to read it through.
Yes, yes, I realize this takes time and effort (who has time for
proofreading?), but isn't that better than looking -- well, not very wise?
