I am required to cast a vote for an HP. There are a bunch of new ones
recently introduced. Yes, printers are priced low because they're vehicles
for high-profit toner and ink. I probably am not required to say that.

Whichever you choose, find out about any options for toner-saving modes. I
generally use my laser printer in 300 dpi mode rather than 600 especially
if I'm printing mainly text.
