Yes, because I rarely need to print color that's what I went to a few years 
ago (4?) - HP LaserJet copier/printer/scanner.  I still go through more than 
one toner a year for someone who doesn't' print *that* much.

The word on the street is that the printers are way over priced to begin 
with and it really is only the ink that makes the money. I've also found 
with HP that one never buys off brand ink OR gets the cartridges refilled 
(with ink that is, not toner, in this situation).
