[Magdalen] Duncan to retire

As we age, I have read, we become more and more like ourselves.

I guess that's a kind of covert way of saying we hide our true selves, so
that what one sees is only a sample, and as we age, we start thinking,
"Aww, WTF? Who cares what I'm like? Let it all hang out!"
