I think the only collegiate universities we have in the UK are 
Cambridge, Durham, London and Oxford.  Others may have a number of 
campuses but they do not have independent colleges.  I believe I am 
right in saying that universities need to be recognized as having 
sufficient academic rigour to award graduate degrees.
