[Magdalen] Prayers for two children

Saturday evening in the village of White Pine, TN, an 11 year old boy took
his father's shotgun and shot the 8 year old girl who lived next door. He
shot her from inside his house. Nobody really knows the circumstances.
Apparently he told police he asked to see her puppy and she said no. Other
sources, including the girl's mother, have said there was a history of him
bullying her. In any case, the mother heard a noise and ran outside and
found her daughter lying on the ground. She was taken to the hospital in
Morristown, where she died in the ER.
The boy was arrested and charged with murder and is being held in the
juvenile detention center. He will have a hearing at 11 a.m. today. He
could be charged as an adult, although AFAIK this has never happened in
Tennessee to a child this young.

I ask your prayers for the repose of McKayla Dyer, and for comfort for her
family, especially her parents, Tony and Latasha. I also ask your prayers
for the boy who killed her.
