There can be variance the other way, that is the tempo can be so fast
that the congregation quickly is out of breath and drops out.
 
Such is the case here with the Reformed Episcopal Church.   Imagine
your favorite hymn in a martial 2/2 time, and even faster.
Singing hymns with this organist becomes a somewhat amusing
game to see who turns blue first.
