Yes, a single vote for the local MP does it. Trudeau would get to be
Prime Minister by virtue of being the party leader of the party winning
the most seats. A clear majority would be straightforward, but a
leaner outcome could be less clearcut and give a lot of clout to the
other parties if their combined numbers are strong enough and they're
prepared to cooperate. The papers are full of various scenarios that
could arise, and the Governor-General would be involved. Hey ho. One
day at a time.
