[Magdalen] Canada's election

I'm tempted to be very envious of Canada for getting its election over
with, and I'm tempted to be depressed at what we still face here in
the USA for ANOTHER YEAR YET, but I'm forgetting the good points of
our system that aim for participation by the people (however
engineered it may be from vested interests) and a peaceful transfer of
power.

Still, wish our primaries were next month and the general election in,
say, February.
