My DH Keith has had to get used to people writing his name "Kieth", because
that's how many South Africans think it should look.
Even worse, some of the Afrikaans speakers, whose mother tongue lacks a
"th" as a word ending sound, pronounce it "Keef"!!
Luckily he's not much bothered by it. Our son Donal says he's given up
trying to correct people who call him "Donald" - even my mom does it
sometimes :-(
