I got progressive lenses a long time ago and hated them at first.
But eyeglasses are tools and we human beings are great at learning
to use tools. (Hearing aids are the same. That "period of adjustment"
is actually a period of instruction and learning).

Moved from reading glasses to progressives after a David Hockney
exhibit, where I felt like a bobble-head doll trying to see the paintings
on the wall and the notes posted next to them at the same time. It
was impossible (and hurt my neck).

Now I'm adjusted, habituated, and (while I don't remember exactly
how long it took), you will be too.
