I don't think there's anything in the canons about individual members, but
I do remember that in the early history of the anti-w/o folks, when
churches decided to secede (and didn't read the canon regarding non-payment
of the asking), those churches were made missions and the vestry vacated.

I remember Tom-Our-Bishop instructed Emmanuel to remove one member from the
vestry (he was not an Episcopalian confirmed, so was ineligible per the
canons).

My memory's fuzzy about which church fired its rector and the bishop told
them he wouldn't allow them to begin the search process until the vestry
was replaced. That was +David, who was nuts but tough (he had been a bomber
pilot).
