[Magdalen] Monterey fire?

bejillions here (Misquamicut, Westerly & Watch Hill, Rhode Island), more
than we could count on Sunday, a warm mild day with a slight northeast
breeze.

In the sudden nightfall of Autumn
they congregate by the hundreds
in mature trees here and in Southern Connecticut,
waiting to fly out over Long Island Sound at dawn.

They fold their wings for the night,
but in the morning,
as they spread their wings to the light,
it looks as if the tree is catching fire.
