Give me a break!  There is something incredibly beautiful about  a
Norway Maple in full bloom in the early spring.  They are towers
of yellow blooms.  No other maple with which I'm familiar comes
close in the flower category.
 
Mind you, I am aware of the insidious invasive qualities of this  species,
but there are pluses.  If you have not seen a Crimson King cultivar  of
Norway Maple, you are missing out on one of its major charms.
