He spoke to us once about growing up in Plymouth, about the bias
he endured (this brilliant man was forced to repeat a grade in grammar
school, most likely because of his teacher's and the school's bias).
Afterwards his friends called him "Peter the Repeater."

He didn't dwell too long on his parents' poverty, but he talked about it.
